“Is it any wonder that his MPs are following Tory voters and queuing up to dump his party?”

Keir Starmer points and laughs at Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party after a former health minister defected to Labour over the government’s NHS record, and as looming local elections indicate a bad night for the prime minister.

The way the Times cover this! 😂 hilarious. No Rishi did not win any exchange he looks like a petulant useless leader to the public and pushes the Conservatives further into disaster.

How odd. They're not mentioning the fact that Sunak's 'plans' are still unfunded. How often are Labour ministers asked about their funding for plans?

the retirement age will end up as death if we are not careful

I am pensioner- I pay tax on my pension, I pay tax on my savings and I pay tax on the goods and services that I buy. The tax thresholds in the UK have not risen in 6 years- so the treasury is moving more and more people into the 40 percent threshold.
Interestingly not the PM :)

Tories will protect pensions by raising the retirement age to 75.

You got to give it to the baby boomers. The whole election is focused as always only on them. I guess it is a lesson to the younger generation that they need to *get out* and vote.

The contrast between cynicism for Starmer and optimism about Sunak is amazing. Blinkered

A party who offer to make you safe is likely to appeal to those who feel unsafe . ie the majority

Sunak ruled out abandoning the triple lock, but he didn’t rule out raising the pension age. That seems to suggest he is considering it. Personally, I’d much rather keep paying national insurance than not be able to retire until 75.
