Welcome to our YouTube channel! In this incredibly special episode, I had the privilege of visiting the camps in Calais last year and documenting the inspiring stories of the people living there. Through the power of barbering, I had the opportunity to connect with them, cut their hair, and listen to their journeys.

This episode holds great significance as it sheds light on the resilience and strength of those who have found solace in barbering, using their skills to create opportunities and support themselves in challenging circumstances.

I think people disliked the video because they realise the majority of the people in calais are no longer Syrian refugees fleeing a war but are simply poorer people from other countries trying to enter illegally into Britain for economic reasons. Calais is still thought of though as being mostly refugee families instead of being made up of young healthy men from various parts of the world so it gets a lot of support from liberals. There are a number of problems and stigma that arises with these people as they are not entering a country legally and most are going completely undocumented, yes it'd be nice to let them all in and set up a new life for them in a more well off country but as we've seen from Germany and Sweden this doesn't always end well as a lot ( the bulk I would say ) are muslims who have no interest in assimilating or integrating into western society which causes a lot of issues for the native people not to mention eventually effecting the economy of the country itself. People migrating to a developed country illegally has never been allowed in the past for the reasons I've stated above but the simple truth is, there is no country on this planet that's in such a good condition that it can take care of millions of others, especially when the people they're taking in have no desire to mix with the original occupants of that country.

hours and i’m overwhelmed by both the support and
negativity that has arose from the upload.
I’m not getting into a political debate as it would
be an endless back and forth about different opinions.
And YES every single person is entitled to their opinion,
I haven’t said yes or no to anyone’s opinions.
The only thing I don’t like to say is people inciting hate,
saying hurtful things about myself and my family, and
the people who are clearly living homeless for whatever reason.
If you feel like this video totally offends you and you can’t bare to
say anything but nasty things, then I bid you farewell.

Nomad Barber is not, nor has ever been an ASMR specific channel.
The channel was built to see how barbering changes around the world,
but at the heart of it, the channel is about PEOPLE.
People fascinate me from every culture and i’m an aspiring film maker,
so allowing myself to document people from all over the globe without
giving an opinion is something i’m entitled to, as a creative and human being.
All I offer throughout this video is support and compassion to people who are in
a worse situation than me.

At the heart of it this video is about me giving out haircuts for free
(which I did for about 20 people) and speaking to a young guy from
Eritrea to see how barbering is helping him support himself and generally
just finding more out about the situation over there.

Like I said before, this channel is not purely ASMR and as soon as I
get the chance i’ll be travelling to make more barber documentaries.
As a barber and film maker this is my passion so I will not be deterred
but hateful things written about me and other people.

THEN GO! You were suppose to register for asylum in the first country you land in if you are truly a refugee, all countries are offering you help but you don't want any country you want Britain, why, because we will fast track you to a free house and benefits whereas France will make you wait a year.

Nothing but pure greed.

I feel for refugees but these are not that, they are economic migrants that want free money, we built houses and containers for them but they refused them so that might have a better chance to get help.
