Recreating @andrewhuang's MIDI Unicorn LIVE

Показать описание
Andrew Huang's "Glorious MIDI Unicorn" was one of the videos that most inspired me to start creating MIDI art. My first thought when I saw it years ago was that I'd LOVE to play it live someday. Well, now that I have a few months of experience creating my own MIDI art and performing it live, I decided to give it a shot!
I did have to make a few changes to Andrew's original composition in order for it to be playable with 10 fingers: I had to leave out some of the notes, and also shorten the Unicorn's horn because it exceeded the range of an 88 key piano. I also played it slower than his original tempo - it's very difficult even at this tempo, and would have been almost impossible to play accurately at full speed (lots of hand leaps!).
Big thanks to Andrew for this wonderful composition and for the inspiration!

Technical details: performed on a Yamaha CP88 (using it's internal sound), the DAW is Cubase 11.
