Sinan Arat playes the ney, a flute that is known in the Turkish, Arabian and Iranian world.
Sinan Arat had a performance at the Turning East Festival November 2017 in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Vrije Geluiden invited some artists from that festival to do a session in a small studio in Amsterdam North. Sinan Arat played together with the percussionist Alper Kekeç: Nihavend Saz Semai (Hasip Dede), The Red Hat (S. Arat) and Ah Nice Bir Uyursun (anynymous, lyrics: Yunus Emre).
