Nice ingenuity and creativity that you don’t often see on typical car channels. Thanks for this!!

My noisemaker is gone. I feel like I'm driving an adult car now. Genuine engine sounds and a little bump in response. Love the extra room in the bay as well. Thanks!

Hey Bimmerdude, just got my R56 and loved this mod. Did it to mine straight away and I can tell there's a slight difference for the better of course. Keep the vids coming.

Have a similar noise pipe on my mk5 GTI and also removal. One option was removing the noise pipe section and using an expansion plug to seal off the throttle body pipe. Worked perfect.. should be able to do the same here

You can use hairspray on the pipe areas you scuffed up for better hold.

Would it be possible to to remove the big black pipe, cut the small hose inlet off for the "noise maker" and plug that hole with a piece of plastic and plastic weld? that way you dont have to cut the pipe, but you delete the thing you want to? Just an idea from watching this. Or, you can add a piece of rubber hose around the big black pipe, and clamp it down around the inlet hole you would cut off. That would seal the hole that is there and no more noise maker.

Increase throttle responce and reduce weight in the front slightly. Shed ounces leads to pounds and shave seconds

Have you noticed a difference in the cabin with engine noise level? Before and after?

What is the benefit of this? Obviously, quieter inside the cabin, but does it do anything to the sound outside the cabin? Does it add any type of performance?

sorry it this is a dumb question, but why can't i just cap off the line going to the noise maker?

Bimmer Dude, I just got onto your videos. I recently got a 2009 Cooper S and am trying some budget tweaks. Loving your videos so far. I wish we could have had a before and after sound comparison of your MINI starting up and revving though so we could hear the difference. I am catching up on all your vids, but what year is your MINI?

Have no idea how you got that bottom piece off. I underneath the noise maker. Mine is like cemented on there. No room for pick tool...

I don’t like the noise maker too, but I connect his ssqv to the noise maker connection instead of replace the pipe. Another way of making some good noise when I shift gear.

Having mine deleted, it failed visual inspection in CA at the smog shop. Now I need to find the old parts.

Thank you, I will be doing this to my 2012 jcw mini cooper. Although, why no start up?

I recommend putting a couple of small sheet metal screws thru the hose where you cut the factory coupling off. The elbow is really short and the hose clamp isn’t quite enough to hold it on the pipe under boost.
