The fastest way to take out a Hammerhead is a Size IX Torpedo.

Nice video! When I got tired of just killing them, I enjoy making the HHs hit rocks. It is not as easy as it sounds....there is a technique to it. Any small ship with fast acceleration will do though. I run up, fire a few shots to get their attention and then sprint to the nearest big rock (Has to be a BIG rock for it to work right.) then tease them with shot from behind the rock and they hit it. The HHs though rarely blow up on one hit...so you have to get them away from it and go back until they pop. They have to be travelling pretty fast to do damage or pop. I completed a Group ERT mission in my Pisces...lol! Valkyries pop good on rocks too...but the others you will have to take out with weapons most the time.

I agree with ya on the AI buff, Sub. Irl, yes one single Japanese Zero on paper cannot take down the USS Yorktown. But a zero to a Yorktown is an arrow to a Bengal(maybe bad on the size ratio, perhaps a Kraken instead). Our destroyers (which would here be the hammerheads) did not fare so well bythemselves against Zeros. We lost many destroyers and corvettes, as well as frigates, to Zeros, both in kamikaze and traditional strafing. So yes, even in real life, snub and light fighters can and were specifically designed to destroy or at least engage corvettes and destroyers.

Isn't it ironic that the best most efficient way to kill a Hammerhead, a ship supposedly designed for killind fighters, is to actually use a fighter?

Question, in the intro and other ships you used Attritions but with the Sentinal you went with 4 GVSR's. Was that intended and recommended or would attritions still be more effective?

I think you should also maybe try 1 absolution and 2 Attrition s5 on that 600i. Seems to me it needs more hull dmg to make it more effective

I kill all three of those in the Miles missions without firing a shot. Use your environment to your advantage. I often kill all 3 in my loaner Arrow. Takes about a minute per hammerhead unless I get into an odd location. Travel time across the solar system of course is more time but actual from target to death...less than a minute often. Easy money

*hugs his S9 Torpedo* i use my eclipse for ERTs now only since the only reason i do those missions is to get more aUEC. fastest way for me is using the S9s, go back to refuel, accept next mission, go again. i do VHRTs for fun with smaller ships ( without torps ;) )
