Man City’s Biggest Problem: Scoring First, Losing Later

Here’s one of Manchester City’s biggest problems this season: scoring first but losing in the end.

The latest example was against PSG. City was up 2-0 but ended up losing 4-2.
Before that, they were leading 1-0 against Sporting CP, but in the end, got smashed 4-1.
It was the same story against Feyenoord. They were ahead 3-0 but had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

This bad trend isn’t just happening in the UCL—it’s also been an issue in the Premier League. This season, they’ve already dropped 14 points after taking the lead.

Their chances of winning the Premier League are at risk, and so is their chance of making it to the UCL Round of 16. With only one match left, City is currently sitting at 25th place, while the playoff cutoff is 24th. Even if they win their last game against Club Brugge, it might not be enough. If Stuttgart, Sporting, PSG, and Benfica all win, City is automatically out of the UCL this season.
