The reverse mikiri is one of the coolest moves in any fromsoft game.
At this point youre allready so used to being able to use stab attacks without fearing punishment and then father owl shows up, steps on your blade and gives you a taste of your own medicine its simply perfect game design.

I NEED MORE LIKE OWL! Every other boss dont punish you for constantly punishing them. 30 head pats, 100 hip thrusts, 40 life times of deflects and Owl's the only one who makes you taste your own poison.
