"An apple a year will burn a hole in your pocket forever."

As a android user. The only reason I'll ever get an iPhone is for the convenience for others... not because I like it. Legit my whole life everyone has made comments of me just cause they recieve green text... (which btw is Apple fault since they haven't updated their sms since like 2014). I'm sorry I don't see a reason for getting a phone that is almost 4 times more expensive to the phone that I got from my phone plan for "free" essentially... Literally took the EU laws for Apple to finally switch over to type c which they ran with making it sound like they made such a breakthrough for the 15 last year.

Their practices are horrendous. I will never own anything Apple unless it's their stock.

I have no problem with Apple, but I have a problem with people choosing the oldest iPhones over the newest Androids just because they are iPhones 😅😅

Bold video. I’m glad you made it. While it may not receive the views it should, you are totally right on what’s presented.

I guess I'm immune because what they do repels me. I prefer open ecosystems. Buy what you want but what makes you feel locked in repels me.

more videos like this need to be made, I’m sick of major reviewers bending over with raving reviews about the iPhone 16 just so they keep getting invited to Apple events, the only major reviewer that didn’t bend over was Marques Brownlee and that’s because he is the top reviewer and Apple needs him and his reviews, every other ‘major reviewer’ invited to Apple events are overhyping what’s essentially an iPhone 13sss…..

I still believe in apple products. My good ol iphone 8 plus (my secondary or backup phone) is still fast despite no longer has an update. So i have no complaints about iPhones except of course battery is just drain fast but not a dealbreaker there.

In the words of flossy Carter both android and iOS are great and run about the same. It’s good to change from time to time because we have the option to do so. They both have there pros and cons but apple is really sneaky in the way they try to lock you down. Personally I like iPhones and android phones but I prefer android for my tablet as you get more bang for your buck and Samsung dex is amazing for my useage.

Also this mentality that you always need the latest is so dumb. People coming from 3 or 4 years back will see the biggest improvements and even some are choosing to hold off since there devices are still running fine and just need new batteries. Which Is a lot cheaper than buying a new phone. We need to have the mentality of getting the most out of our products rather than the constant cycle of use and dispose that’s damaging more damaging to the environment and mental perspective of these products

I'm a proud fanboy, full ecosystem and everything, updating yearly, depending on the device.

And now you have 38 subscribers too FYI, figured I would get in at the ground level before you get huge. 😀😉👍 Great video with excellent content, I look forward to enjoying the rest of them, knowing me I'll probably end up binge watching them. ha ha

Hi, great video. Subscribed! Watching from my iPad Pro, and yes, they’ve locked me into the walled garden! Your video deserves a lot more views. Real quality.  💸

I'm Apple, but my spouse is PC and Android. That balance keeps me from being fully brainwashed. She's constantly showing me features/functions that don't exist on the iPhone and likely will not for almost a decade. Wait... I guess I'm Come on Tim, toss us some real features like a folding iPhone, serious level cameras and displays that are 120hz or better refresh rate even on the SE level.

Great video. I left Apple this year. Apple makes it very hard to leave as well. I went to an S24U. There's things i miss about the iPhone. It's just little things that come up here and there. Overall, the S24U kills the iPhone coming from a former fanboy.

Honestly the way I utilize apple ecosystem for myself, my work and my family have elevated our quality of life.
I am using shared agendas and workflow in a way that no other company were able to create. Why don’t you or other people just accept that? The so called walled garden is actually a bonus as everything is immediately accessible and connected and private. Plus the market is huge and each company have a good share of customers.

A correction on the planned obsolescence bit, Apple was caught intentionally slowing down phones, they claim it was to stop poor behavior due to battery degradation, which I put as “a little bit of column A, a little bit of column B.” That said, they were forced to not do that anymore and it’s why their are battery degradation metrics in settings. On software slowing down older devices, that’s just an unfortunate fact of software development. Developers want to push for newer features that require a larger percentage of the device’s compute power. So older devices feel slower over time. You’ll have this effect no matter who you pick for your smart phone. This can be mitigated in PCs by going with an open source OS, particularly Linux.

I would ding Apple for their “minimum viable” approach to storage/memory though. Just look at Apple Intelligence requiring 8 GB of ram. Apple was the only manufacturer selling flagship phones with just 6 GB as far as I know, and it’s been considered too little for years. Don’t get me started on selling $1000 laptops with 8 GB of ram.

Rather than blaming Apple for these tactics, id praise apple for being able to be such geniuses at marketing, and people for being dumb enough to fall for these again and again. This is kinda why I'm probably never gonna use an iPhone, but it's not bc I hate them. I just think there's better stuff.

Watching from my iPhone here, cool video! It’s really an eye opener for me since I’m not really invested in the tech world.

I’m really impressed with Android devices but I see myself staying at Apple as long as possible. I really find fascinating all the features and extras about android devices but they’re kinda irrelevant for my daily use, for me choosing Apple is choosing what’s convenient to get my things done :D Tho I won’t ever own a Mac I’ll always be a Windows user here lol ✌️
