Dancers are so good, they can make Sophia miss twice per turn instead of once.

dancers' frailty is only an issue if they're getting hit, which you can almost always prevent through strategizing your turn properly

Can't thank Mekkah and Eecaruz enough for their support through this project, it has been an absolute pleasure to work on this! Hope you all enjoy this episode of Pitfalls!

It's always been so weird to me that people don't use Dancers. I'm not some FE genius, and I've been using them fairly consistently since I discovered the series. I've used them more consistently through the endgame of the newer games since I've learned much more about using them right, but I always at least tried them.

OMG, dancers are so good, it really feels crippling when you don't have access to them in some missions.

"Warp Staff" I wasn't expecting it.
Also love the use of Mirror B's theme.
There was one time I lost my dancer in FE6. After that I decided never again.

YES! Another entry in the Pitfall series!

Can't wait to see the Jaffar WAIFU video in 2023!
(Btw congrats to DavisG, very few people actually know what it takes to edit and that was some AMAZING editing!! :) )

Yo DavisG's editing is top notch. It's that good.

On a related note, you're 100% spot on that it's a common pitfall to give the dancer class to someone you're not really gonna use as one just for the sake of Sword Avoid +, which is cool but also wastes the entire point of a Dancer like you said.

I like how when you were talking about Sword Avo +20, you showed dancer Dorothea only getting hit 😏
Great video overall, really sums up the value of dancers for all kinds of play.

I wasn't aware fire emblem pitfalls was still a thing.
Also your editing and overall quality has improved so much. I haven't watched for a while, so the difference is massive

Just going to put something out here. For Conquest, you're best of planning a dancer's action first but not necessarily executing it first. Fates is a game where reliability is king. If you fuck up one thing, you can and WILL eat shit for it. I have hundreds of hours in Fates and even I occasionally misinput an end turn or miss an attack that I really needed to hit. Planning out who you WANT Azura to sing for is usually a great idea! PLEASE do that. However, if you're not doing the busted ass 3 dances a turn strats, I'd definitely recommend waiting on actually having her sing for someone until your actions are all done. A more important situation might arise and you might need to sing for Peri again so she can kill someone or sing for Camilla so she can actually take out that Ninja on Ch 10 that someone missed their attack on.

I’m still playing through all the games currently, and I always used to ignore the dancers, but I’m playing through Sacred Stones now and I’m using Tethys. She’s really been helping me, and I’m going to try using these tips, so thank you Mekkah!

Fantastic pitfalls video! I was able to share this with some less experienced players who had a lot of trouble, and they found this really helpful.

I only have a few minor clarifications related to 3H dancing:
- 14 charm is the benchmark for guaranteeing winning the dancing competition. So anyone who's picking a unit with exactly 13 charm should know that it's possible to lose.
- Units learn Movement+1 at A+ Riding, not S, but your point still stands - it's a high non-weapon skill rank that students aren't reaching until lategame without excessive grinding
- Dancer Flayn effectively costs you your most convenient Rescue caster, and a might-boosting Byleth/Seteth adjutant backpack. She can still be convenient because players will not have invested much into her by the dancing competition, and her base charm guarantees a win, but players should be aware of that opportunity cost.

As a wise mann once said:
"Let us Dance, gentlemen! Dance like no one's shooting at us"

I think dancers are like rescue dropping, it’s super easy to ignore but when you learn how to utilize them properly, it’s super satisfying

Kaga has a solution to this in the second vestaria saga game by giving you an armor knight dancer lord (bear with me none of this is an exaggeration), a book that can give anyone the refresher skill, a healer with a prf dance staff, buyable dance staves, and 2 more dancers, one of which is mounted and the other is an FE4 dancer. You can't get away from dancers if you tried.

When it comes to Fire Emblem Fates I reclass Azura into a Witch until she learns Warp and then reclass her back into a Songstress. Warp allows her to move to the side of any one of yours units no matter how far away they are and Sing to them on the same turn. This allows me the freedom that I don't have to plan my turns around her as she now has effectively infinite movement and it can be beneficial as it allows me to see what the final enemy movement range will be before I move her.

Thank you, Mekkah and the comments section. I am a long time FE player, been playing since FE7's release but I've always found myself either playing poorly around my dancer or benching them altogether in some games/runs. I deeply appreciate all the tips and tricks you and everyone below is sharing!
