I grew up in a Catholic Church and School. I was born in the early 80's so there was no internet but the moment I learned to read you couldn't get books out of my hand. I wanted to know everything. I remember challenging my catholic school sisters about their practices and how the bible said differently. I remember asking them why do they do these things if they aren't even in the bible... Especially the calling the priest "father", worshiping Mary, the only religion we were to have was taking care of orphans and widows, I can't remember the other ones but I had so many questions for them... I ended up rejecting God all together because of it.. I didn't understand how the pope sat on a golden thrown but still asked people for money to feed the hungry. *** edit... I did end up finding God again just not in organized religion... thats another long story :)

Everything I’ve ever read about exorcism is that the exorcist should never engage in conversation with the Prince of Lies but is to follow the ritual to the letter. Otherwise the exorcist risks his own soul.

I found the Pope's Exorcist very sappy and typical. If y'all want to see a movie about demonic possession and how close you can get to it, Nefarious would be the movie to see.

A friend a very close friend of Father Gabriel has a YouTube channel and he was interviewed about the Pope's Exorcist and he said that father Gabriel would have been insulted by the movie and how wrong it was. He also explains on how Nefarious is as close to demonic possession as you're ever going to get.

No levitation, no head spinning, no climbing walls, just straight-up demonic intelligent conversation. Brilliant movie that everyone here has to see.

You rock!! Scholarly work. I came up with some of the same sources, and only two more that made me scratch my head. Some of the popes had horrific histories. I still believe that there are good with a few in their hearts. The scandals have been all but extinguished .

Perhaps what they’re showing us is that THEY the church has zero authority, but demand that we see them as the only ones with power. Power is what they desire right! Same old story as centuries ago and fighting holy wars. All about power.

i was Catholic for over 50 years until I came to the conclusion, I wasn't Christian. The teaching of Christ and our in direct conflict with Catholic doctrine. Now, I only believe what the bible tells me not what man tells me. I believe God hates our religions. It divides us as humans. I found it is about relationship with CHRIST not any religion. i pray the our Lord opens all our eyes to truth before it is too late>
