If he is smart enough to have contingency plans for the entire Justice League then he could easily do this. New stories and new villains for Batman I say.

Personally, I fully support Superman here, though Batman does make a really good point. Superman should take some time off to grieve Lois' death, that way he could think more clearly on his plans to bring peace. Instead, Superman just goes with his gut rather than his brain.

WW's comments about how wrong Batman is can be countered several ways. How dare he moralize to "this man"? Sister, if he doesn't, he does exactly what you want him to do: feed off his rage, horror and sadness. That just plays into villians hands and makes Superman no better than they are in the end. "Does Bats care"? If he didn't, would've ended him or let someone else do it a long time ago. As for human law: define weak, princess. It's somehow weak to stand for the right thing even though it's hard? So doing whatever you want to get results is OK? Joker should've been stopped sooner but I do not believe Batman was wrong for not killing him time after time.
