The first numbers round was exactly what I expected. There is the most obvious way of doing it, (50x5) +10 +8 +7, but these top players will always try to get as close as possible by multiplying.

I love Rachel’s dress on this episode.

Y'all are way too creative on the 275.
I did 50+5=55
7-2=5
55*5=275

When does Anne Robinson leave, I will start watching the show again when she has gone. I really don`t know why Colin Murray was not given the job before Robinson, he was known to do the show really well and he has a personality and has banter and chemistry with Rachel and Susie.

For anyone who was wondering, as I was, what Nick Hewer was doing back on _Countdown_, Channel 4 pulled the final pre-championship game of series 75 for an unknown reason and replaced it with a rebroadcast of the Championship of Champions XV final with Zarte Siempre (the man with black hair) and Bradley Horrocks (the man in the glasses), which Siempre won 116 - 83. This episode originally aired on 22 January 2019.

In the first numbers round, another solution is:

100 - 4 = 96
50 / 25 = 2
96 x 3 x 2 = 576
576 - 10 = 566

In the second numbers round, I had a solution based on a similar idea as Zarte's:

50 + 5 = 55
55 x 10 = 550
550 / 2 = 275

Another solution is:

50 + 7 = 57
57 x 5 = 285
285 - 10 = 275

In the third numbers round, Zarte's simple solution was effectively the only one. The only other thing you could have done was add 25 to the 600 before subtracting by 50, but that's just pointless busy work.

In the fourth numbers round, I had the same idea, but I approached it in this way:

10 x 8 = 80
80 - 2 = 78
7 + 5 = 12
78 x 12 = 936
936 + 3 = 939

And then I found this way of multiplying directly to the target:

8 x 5 = 40
10 - 2 = 8
40 x 8 = 320
320 - 7 = 313
313 x 3 = 939

For the 2nd round:
50*5=250
250+10+8+7=275

275:

50 / 2 = 25
10 + 8 - 7 = 11
25 * 11 = 275

50 - 10 = 40
40 * 7 = 280
280 - 5 = 275

50 + 5 = 55
7 - 2 = 5
55 * 5 = 275

566:

50 + 4 + 3 = 57
57 * 10 = 570
100 / 25 = 4
570 - 4 = 566

50 - 3 = 47
47 * 10 = 470
470 + 100 - 4 = 566

It is scary that Rachel is expected to comment on the numbers chosen. There are only five options, so she is bound to repeat herself over and over and over.

569:

8 * 75 = 600
25 + 5 + 1 = 31
600 - 31 = 569

275:

50 - 10 = 40

40 x 7 = 280

280 - 5 = 275

For the second solution, I couldn't quite work out how to get a 28 (to multiply by 10, then take 5) or a 27 (to multiply by 10 and add 5), but I did realize that 275/5 = 55. The 55 can easily be made by doing 7-2=5 and adding it onto the 50.
Hence: 7 - 2 = 5, + 50 = 55, x 5 (the 5 left on the board) = 275. Done.

I'm absolutely rubbish at this... I hated maths at school and basically ignored it.. I don't even know what they mean when they say 50 over 2 for instance.. I'm OK with the letters tho making up words

To be honest, I definitely would not be able to concentrate with Rachel up at the board.
