The beginning... It's just so hard. But as I reflect on life, I don't remember the last time I ever felt leveling up was easy. I don't remember anything being easy in the beginning stages. Well, anything other than a relationship lol but that doesn't count. Everyone knows those beginning stages aren't real because you just don't know each other enough and for the most part, it's all still very superficial....

But this building a business from the bottom up thing, definitely challenging to say the least. Much harder than I initially expected it would be, for even a smart and ambitious woman like me **pat pat** =) Building.... from scratch.

First the foundation (which we all know better be strong before we start the process of adding the layers).... So we go into this everlasting period of learning and though we should never stop learning, the hard part is knowing when to get out of your own way and start the process of GROWING, adding on those layers... We doubt ourselves and sometimes talk ourselves out of the dreams we have for our future....

So much of your time and energy is consumed into this space, you begin to feel "less than" in the other areas of your life. Yup, the areas that mean the most to you... Because you tell yourself, "if I could just finish this project....." Not realizing that your perception for time is warped, you're not superwoman, that project won't be done in a short time and it CAN wait.

A lot more to elaborate on but in essence, building a business or more than "a business" requires a TON of work and in the process I've realized we must be gentle on ourselves. I have NOT. I've been hard on myself. And in the process of trying to speed up the process, I've often neglected what means the most to me. Not only my own health and self care, but the one thing I'm working so hard to buy- TIME- with those I love the most. It's time to make a change...
