the first place virus only changes file extension and doesn't encrypt your files, just change the file extension to normal and everything will be fixed

As a professional cyber security expert it is not safe to run any form of malware but if it's for testing and it is being used in a safe environment feel free to do so, also if you are running trojans make sure that you are disconnected from any internet port and are using a VPN or any other way to hide your IP address as people can use that to distribute forms of undetected spyware.
