This is How I Do MIDI Sync in the Studio (E-RM Midiclock)

When I posted the recent studio tour video, I received a lot of questions about my MIDI setup. I thought I'd just do a video to explain it. The MIDI master clock I use is called the Midiclock. I use it to send MIDI to the synths and then use an Erica module to convert MIDI to Euro clock.

Great show and tell! Cheers for that. E-RM has unfortunately gone out of business and stopped making these. If you get interested in alternatives, I'm making something called CLOCKstep:MULTI. It's a bit of a combination of the first 3 clock devices you've shown.

One of those features I haven't used on my M-Audio MIDI controller because I haven't gotten multiple synths yet. I may get a Behringer Pro VS Mini when it's available, if I don't spend extra cash on more VSTs. GAS isn't just for guitars.

Thanks again for the info and demo. I've been using my imaginary friend to do clock subdivisions. I think I'll have to get the master clock for Christmas but what I'm working on right now only needs 1 clock signal but once I move beyond the 5 songs I'm working with I'll need more things clocked.

Very cool. Thanks so much for doing the video. If i ever get the midi clock i will refer back to it.
For now it isnt in the budget. But very useful info regardless!!

how could tempo of the hardware synth smoothly be notched with an external midi controller?
