I'm doing my full face of makeup using products I should probably throw away... but I can't, I like them too much!

As someone who doesnt use makeup daily I'd say my whole stash is probably expired lol. Mascara and eyeliner I try to buy new ones when they start to smell or irritate my eyes, but its not within my budget to replace my whole makeup inventory once a year.

i am 100% guilty of hanging on to makeup that is well past its expiration date. They are not generally things that I use anymore but I feel so bad just getting rid of them! 🖤

This is the issue with not wearing makeup everyday, things expire before I have any chance of finishing it😅 my foundation is definitely (a lot) older than a year, but it doesn’t smell so I guess I’m good😂

The only makeup I’m weird about is mascara. I use a relatively inexpensive one so I get a fresh one every other month.

The only make up I throw away are my Everything else, unless it has a growth on it or smells weird, like Robert said....🤬 it, I'm using it!!💜

I love my Tati Beauty palette. My now husband bought it for me and I used it for the day we got married and our wedding/reception day. Haven’t had any issues with it.

I’ve got tons of makeup & skin care, about a 3rd of it is from years ago, but they do actually lasts a lot longer than people think if they are kept air tight, stored right & kept out of direct sunlight (as in not placed on windowsills) and not stored close to radiators. I can’t justify throwing products away that are still ok use (mascaras is a different story though) xx

EDIT my very sensitive skin is proof that my old makeup & skin care are still good to use xx

I have multiple Barry M Dazzle Dust loose pigments from -00's, some of them could be 20 years old! Still in perfect condition and work as good as ever. I do get rid of makeup that is visibly expired or smells or tastes bad!

i refuse to ever believe that powder makeup ever expires. never. if my moms and grandmothers eyeshadows can last 9999 years so can mine

The only problem I have expiry problems with is anything gel or watery. Like mascara, lip gloss, anything with a doe foot. Anything powder and lipstick have never “expired” on me.

Bless, I'm in my mid 50's and still have a lipstick from my teens. Do I use it? No, it's Heather Shimmer and nobody needs to make their teeth look more yellow. Will I throw it away? Also no, because it's one of the few things I have from when I was young.

Its hard struggling with mental health especially when you have an outside life like school and young child so when I find things that really helped me they are gems in my life and you are a true gem to me.
