I swear Barkov isnt underrated, proceeds to put eichel over him reinforcing that he is still underrated lol

Barkov definitely belongs above Eichel

Eichel and Barkov should be switched and that would be a good list

Eichel two spots above Barkov? Not sure about that one

Jumping ahead a little here, but whatever.

When you come to the 'ranking 58th picks from 207 Through 2022'' video, Nikita Kucherov is probably in the top 10.

Maybe even top 5 .

Barkov 4th? Should be above Eichel with ease

Based on this list Barkov is definitely underrated.

I like that you write as you go. It makes it easier to move around the videos looking for specific parts.

Barkov is definitely better than Eichel

Shannon, just know that your list is the best list in this video.

on writing in video rather than beforehand: for me the pacing the writing creates makes these videos more followable & makes it clear whom/which team/position is being talked at each point

I'd switch Barkov and Eichel. But I'll always respect THG's opinion. Great video as usual!

I love that people think this is an absolute science and that there's a right and wrong answer. This isn't religion. It's one guy's educated opinion who has seen all of these players play frequently. Feel free to disagree. But to pretend there's a right and a wrong answer here is hilarious. The arguing can be highly entertaining in a microcosm, though.

Pretty generous for Kakko, as much as I love him. Kid doesn't get enough credit for coming to the NHL, adjusting to America, New York, the NA size rink, all during the height of COVID. That being said, he has had 5 years to show what he can do. This upcoming year, and his 1 year extension, will mean a lot for his future in NY but I really hope he sticks around.

I hate that Adams couldn't get here sooner to give Reinhart the long term deal he wanted but I will admit I wanted Leon Draisaitl over him in 2014 and was and still am a little annoyed that they didn't then

I think Doughty should be ahead of Eichel, but beyond that I agree with your list

Landeskog over Reinhart. Barkov up two spots. That's the changes I would make.

Maybe the way you could do the later picks is like “best 8th overall picks of all time”, “best 14th overall picks of all time, ” etc.

Agreed, Hedman had some really rough first few seasons, I remember that. That is why you should never call someone a bust too early. They are just 18-22 years old by that point and there is a lot of room to improve.

As for the whole list, I would probably have 1. Hedman, 2. Doughty, 3. Barkov, 4. Eichel with a good chance of Barkov overtaking Doughty in the future if he can keep his play up for the rest of his career.
