Twixtor Tutorial: Create Super Slow Motion in After Effects

In this Adobe After Effects tutorial, we will create super slow motion in After Effects using the plugin Twixtor by ReVisionFX. Twixtor is a great effect for creating slow smooth slow motion for your footage. Twixtor recreates frames in order to make your video super slow and smooth. The video used in the AE tutorial was shot at 30FPS. We suggest that you shoot your footage at 60FPS or higher. Lower frames can cause tearing when slowed down. Twixtor is fantastic, but it can't make 24fps footage look like it was shot at 120fps.

I think it's definitely worth noting that the effect "Timewarp" is the same as Twixtor, but it is built into Ae

I am not sure if this video has been updated but this tutorial was very straight forward and clear to me. I am somewhat new to AE and was still able to follow and get the effect I wanted (the built in slow motion from AE makes my video choppy, with twixtor it is nice and smooth even with native 30 frames) Thank you.

Hi I got a question, I make edits on tiktok and I kind of reseted my obs because I normally screen record clips and I forgot what kind of fps I should be using, my twixtor used to be really smooth and now it just stutters please help if you can!
