The good news is that the swimmers are allowed to be fully submerged at the finish or before the turns.

Sure, if someone's underwater dolphin is faster than their pull. Upcoming competitions are going to look real funky, with bunch of swimmers going underwater at the end. Lol

My daughter is a junior swimmer only competed at school and regional events. Backstroke finish is one thing frustrating her. She’s always worrying bump her head and slowdown after flags. What should she do? She tried to count after flag but as you may imagine, at her level when start/speed change, the count could not be reliable.
