OG BF and BF2 have the most fun to play AT-AT in my opinion. Their cannons were absolutely destructive, if you walked along the side of a hill a snowspeeder could not tangle your legs up, they were so well armored that they could push through enemy lines with ease, absolute beasts. BattleFront 2015 has the best looking one in my opinion. And it's still pretty fun. Just not quite as fun as the OG

The classic collection opened my eyes.

While I did always think the original was insane… the constant threat of speeders + 5 minute timer to reach rebel spawns does create a huge issue.

Meanwhile the reboot was very map dependent.

Grab the power up at the beginning and it’s worthless.

Grab it at the end phase and you will massacre… but be exposed to death depending on context.

The Reboot ATAT's look and sound fantastic, but of course they're on rails so it's nowhere near as fun to pilot them

I prefer the OG battlefront II. You have the freedom to go wherever you want in it. And the weak spot is easier to get to with all the ion turrets on the map. Also, taking them down with a snow speeder is awesome. No weird minigame like in 2015, just get a buddy in the back and fly around. I did that with my 6 year old nephew and he was so excited when we took down an AT-AT that way. Just like how you do it in the movies

OG BF2 had the best one with the pilot having two different weapons to use, the side mounted medium lasers and the chin mounted heavy cannons, to utterly decimate anything in your way. Always loved driving that beautiful engine of destruction, blasting away anything and everything that gets in my way.

fun fact about classic battlefront, in levels where you normally have an at-at. if you are playing as clones or against them. they have that 6 legged thing instead.
and it works vice versa too.
