I test for my paramedic national registry tomorrow. I was an EMT for 13 years, I have been an advanced for 4 years and hopefully tomorrow I can start as a Paramedic. I’m 38 years old now and started in my early 20s. I’m glad I’m doing it now and not then because I wasn’t mature or responsible enough to had been a medic back then Plus I’m married and have a kid so it worked itself out :)

I had three jobs, twin 2 year old daughters and my wife was pregnant with our son the year I went to medic school. Got 4 hours of OB and the doctor signed off one of my deliveries when he was born!

I loved every single day of training. I decided to become a paramedic at around six years old.
My best memory was sitting in the EMT class, day one, and looking around - "I'm finally here".
Passed Registry and one of the instructors literally shoved me into my career. Like, instead of a pat on the back, he pushed me so hard I almost fell 😂
