Italy's Di Maio defends French visit as ties hit post-war low

Italy's deputy prime minister has defended his unannounced trip to meet with France's "yellow vest" protestors. The visit earlier has sparked the biggest diplomatic crisis between the allies since World War II. On Friday, he accused French government on both the left and right of pursuing "ultra-liberal" policies, in a letter to French daily newspaper Le Monde.
