Love 4K. But what source is the “before”? From the junk room of an old grindhouse theatre? The blu-ray from a few years ago didn’t look that bad at all. Especially after the great restoration as seen in the bonus features of the blu-ray.

I already got this pre ordered but there’s no way the before version can be the 2012 blu ray as it’s quite good. Still can’t wait for the 4k version though!

You could've at least compared it to the blu ray and not a VHS because it's obvious the 4K blu ray is gonna look ten times better

Maybe actually uploading this in 4K would’ve shown a bigger difference in the video quality. That way you wouldn’t have needed the fakey “before” images.

They apparently dragged out a 40-year old VHS tape to compare against the UHD image. Not saying you shouldn't get the UHD but take this presentation with a bucket of salt water.

Tbh dvd quality is still good, blue rays a nice sweet spot in the middle but 4k blue ray now. They'll be selling us the shirts on our own backs soon. 😅

For the people complaining about the “Before” comparison looking like it came from a VHS. you have to remember that this is a marketing tactic for casual people and ones with bad eye sight. Trust me, If they have used the 2011 BD people would’ve complained that they don’t see much of a difference to double dip to 4K.
