Sébastien Haller scoorde halverwege de eerste helft de gelijkmaker, maar kort daarna nam Feyenoord opnieuw de leiding. Diep in de tweede helft kwam Ajax na een prachtige goal van Dusan Tadic op gelijke hoogte, waarna Antony de comeback compleet maakte in de slotfase: 3-2.

Why is Tadic not playing in the axis? He reads a defense quicker and better than anybody on the team, and can pick apart any defense with his precisely weighted passes into space (see pre-assist to Nico). With him as striker, a few years back, Ajax was loaded with creative solutions in the opponent's box. They drove defenses absolutely crazy. Why not make him the central midfielder? The present batch of midfielders does not have the pass that splits open a defense. And how many of such decisive passes could Tadic possibly give from the sideline? Even if it's two or three, in the center he would give you seven or eight per game. He is a world class player, and could easily be our Rivelino. Go Ajax.
