These are the OTIS Series 1 traction elevators in the Hilton Tucson East. These elevators are not the best. They are pretty glitchy; frequently, they will go down to 1 or 2 just to park, even if no one is getting on. During hotel check-out time, these elevators were beyond busy. We had to wait 10 minutes just to go down from floor 4 to the lobby. To make matters worse, this hotel does not have a service elevator; so all the housekeeping carts have to use the regular elevators.

The elevator on the left (the one shown in this video) has a weird sounding door operator. Because of the poor elevator service, I would not recommend staying here. This place needs at least 3 elevators, but due to the design of the building, there is no room to add one.

You can tell the elevators were installed in the 1980s because they use non-keyed stop switches, which all of you should know, became code in 1990. These elevators also have awesome classic leveling.

I've seen non-keyed stop-switches from early-2000s Series 1s (maybe it's only on hydro).
