I can’t believe this is the conversation. Everything Kendrick and Drake said and this the conversation? There’s an agenda here. I’ve lost some respect for these two after this. Smh

But Drake can say Kendrick rapping like he trying to free the slaves and make a mockery of Mother I Sober and abuse victims and he gets a pass. You guys clearly have an agenda

When Kendrick quotes DMX, Drake quote "10 things I hate about you"; and you think it's about Drake's complexion?

You clearly missed everything Kendrick was talking about

So what about the Drake bar when he said Kendrick rap like he trying to free the slaves? Dr Dyson is either compromised or he's not understanding what KDOT is saying smh

Race and ethnicity is not the same thing. Black people have different culture from state to state, let alone the country to Country. What Kendrick is accusing him of is mimicking the culture of African-Americans in the U.S even though he is Canadian. Lupe cought Flack for commodifying skateboard culture even though he wasnt a skater

On Drake's 31st birthday in 2017, Dyson posted a picture on Facebook of himself with Drake and and his father Dennis. Drake has his arms around the other two. I'm sorry, but I can't just ignore that and pretend like Dyson is some totally unbiased source. Here's the caption he put with the photo:
"Happy 31st birthday to my man Drake, one of the coldest ever to bless a mic! Not only does he possess phenomenal rhetorical skills and verbal dexterity, but he nimbly crosses multiple genres in expressing his musical genius. God bless you to live long and continue to make great music and perform at such dizzying heights. Much love!"

Him tryna compare Drake 2 a Cole or Bob Marley (biracial angels) is blasphemy

Kendrick was bringing up Drake’s authenticity because the dude is from Canadian suburbs and every 3rd record he drops he’s talking like he’s a mob boss. On top of him going to other areas and essentially ripping off their regional sound to stay fresh and current. There’s literal clips from his acting days of him making fun of Canadian slang that he called ignorant. He now occasionally uses that slang (people change maybe his opinion did. That’s cool)
It’s not about him being half white or Jewish it’s about him only displaying black American (occasionally British) culture that’s he’s not apart of through his music. While personality wise not being what he projects in his music.
Also bringing up Idris Elba who’s an actor who’s playing rolls and comparing it to Drake who’s in a genre of music that prefers authenticity is like comparing apples and oranges.

Wtf are you saying, Kendrick was debating the culture not his roots. If he was heated about his race he’d call out Eminem and other white or mixed rappers. The more I see and hear from people, the more I need to see their English comprehension grades from school.

Just say you didn't understand the bars. He's talking culture, not race. Also, Mike got a weird case. Why is he around?

I’d LOVE to see Dyson’s reaction of the video of Drake saying the N word with the hard ER. Clearly he’s never seen it to have such an off base take like this.

It sounds like Dyson either skipped or completely misunderstood “Meet the Grahams, ” where Kendrick even addresses Adonis, saying, “never code switch, whether right or wrong, you’re a Black man, even if it don’t benefit your goals.” Part of what bothers Kendrick is that Drake, a former child actor, often caricaturizes people and things that Kendrick experienced in real life, and he (Drake) can take that caricature mask off and put it on at will, whenever it’s profitable. Dyson is very focused on Kendrick’s criticisms of Drake, but Drake’s criticisms of Kendrick are quite telling, too. In “Family Matters, Drake attempts to discredit Kendrick by naming rappers who “REALLY” gangbang in the West Coast: YG, Game, and “even” Chris Brown. But Kendrick actually comes from that world. He’s a survivor of it and he’s lost friends and family to it. Drake’s only relationship to that world is through popular music where he has very much continued his acting career. He basically plays “Cowboys and Indians, ” so to speak. Still a very talented artist.

Kendrick stans blood start boiling when someone comes in defense of Drake and makes sense😂. And Kendrick stans hit you with the classic line of “you missed the message” or “it went over your head”😂😂😂
