The “child slowly taken” was a boy taken off life support a few days after the bombing. The other boy died at the bombing site. They were out buying cards for Mother’s Day.

You've never hear The Cranberries??? Linger and Dreams are also amazing, but this one was the first video to hit a billion views. Amazing.

RIP Dolores.

"The song was written in response to the death of Johnathan Ball, 3, and Tim Parry, 12, who had been killed in the IRA bombing in Warrington, northwest England, when two devices hidden in litter bins were detonated." - Wikipedia

Just an example of how music can be a part of real change. Music may not have ended the troubles in Northern Ireland, but the generation that gave us The Cranberries and U2 was ready for change, ready to question the inevitability of war. Music did not just reflect the change, but amplified it. Also the same (no, similar) can be said for South Africa and Johnny Clegg "Scatterlings of Africa" or Peter Gabriel with "Biko."

RIP Delores.
This song is about “The Troubles “ on Ireland, and based on the death of a child,
( recently read 2 children but am not sure which is correct). The singing style she uses in this is an Irish keening.

Bad Wolves have a brilliant interpretation of this. They and Dolores were going to recreate this but Dolores died

P.S. "Dreams" and "Linger" are much prettier, happier songs. ;)
