You know, the fact that they act like physical intimacy isn't possible is actually kind of a plot hole. Flambo literally comes in during the episode Flame Princess ask Finn to go get her stuff and makes both him and Jake basically immune to heat and fire for what seemed to be hours on end. What was stopping them from learning to do that other than the plot?
