There's one important thing missing here: Acceleration Tiers. Your accel stat is divided into tiers, and having just a bit more accel doesn't mean it's better. To go up a tier and see a different result, you need at least a certain value.

If you really want more accel, you should aim for a .75 value (1.75, 2.75, 3.75) or 1.00 if minimal (not 0.75, 1.00 is still better than 0.75). Other than the minimal, everything between .75 values acts the same as the lower number (0.75 < 1 = 1.25 = 1.5 < 1.75 = 2.00 = 2.5 < 2.75, etc).

The only exceptions are everything after 4.5, in which case every extra point counts (4.75 < 5 < 5.25 < 5.5), but you only reach that with lighter characters.

All lighter gliders give you 0.25 accel, and going up/down 1 weight class removes/adds 0.5 accel.

You don't need to do it exactly a .75 value. But if, let's say, your accel is 3.5, you might consider switching parts around so it's 3.75 instead. Or you can "sacrifice" some of it for extra speed, as long as it's still 2.75 or higher.

Kart optimization changes a lot when you take all of this into account. 8 has a similar system.

People saying the "speed" comparison is wrong, here's whats up: Back then I made the mistake of recording both cars going from 0 to top speed instead of comparing them going top speed at the beginning of the clip. That's why you see the right car going faster. Whoops.

Also, i personally think the best combo is a featherweight character, a bruiser body, red monster wheels, and the paraglider. this combo not only gives you a lot of offroad but a lot of stability and speed and above average drift and acceleration

Swooper (Bat Glider)

This has the most balanced stats. It has a slight advantage on off road.

What I have learnt in your Nintendo 2DS you can press the R button on the top left corner right and if you see turning roads you have hold press and you will drift sometimes it shows the colour speed “blue” and “red” blue is the medium speed and red is faster

For those of you who don't know. To unlock those Gold Wheels he has, you can either collect 15, 000 coins, or you can get at least 1 star on every single cup difficulty (50cc, 100cc, 150cc and Mirror Cup, all those cups MUST have 1 star or more).

My fav is It has good acceleration and off road, which work well together, so for example, if you do the drum cut on music park, but land in the grass, you can get out quickly and can do the brown and grey piano cuts.
