Vintage Guitar Demo: 1958 Fender Telecaster

This killer 1958 Fender Telecaster has just come in from the family of its original owner out of Flagstaff, Arizona! It's a really nice example with just enough wear to know that it's vintage but no breaks or repairs or changed parts. It weighs in at 6.7 lbs and plays like a dream. The neck profile is a C shape, but still has some subtle hints of the V shaped necks common to 1957.

That is a fantastic "Bridge" pick-up sound. Give it to your pal, he makes it sound great!

The amps are just as interesting as the guitars, let's hear more about them!

Love it. Beautiful playing. Who wouldn't want that. Telecasters are the best.

The Great 3-10 Bandmaster! I got one of those in 1973 that was Brand New Yep, now then mine was a tweed with a tremolo circuit. It came with a wooden pedal! I sold it to mt freind, Danny Gatton in 1976. Danny's racoon ate the tweed! Anyway, keep up the good work in finding these guitars. It is not easy ! The best!

Early string-thru before Fender transitioned to top-load bridging the Telecasters that year. Any idea of the DC resistance of both pickups?

How are these wired? I don't know a whole lot about vintage Teles but in the video it seemed to be bridge no tone > neck with tone > neck bass circuit.

6 and 1/2 lbs is the ideal Tele weight. That means it's an Ash body. Can't get Alder that light.

4 seconds of Riggs...Boring...Traditional guitars sell best with traditional playing.
