Having secured both championships, I applaud the team for racing with more risk in Brazil. The strategy calls kept me on the edge of my seat and I would have loved to seen how Max would have reacted if Lewis managed to get past Alex without incident. By all means learn from mistakes, that much is obvious, but please continue to risk a little more for even the sniff of a win. Thank you for another outstanding season!

4:12 Dear Mercedes Team, please don't be too hard on yourselves! I thought that was a BRILLIANT call when watching and thought you might have just won lewis the race! A pity the safety car was longer than expected.
With fresh slicks against old mediums, it was really possible for Lewis to clear Albon and Gasly and Max in 3 laps, 1 car per lap. You guys made the race more entertaining too! Great Job!

The hard tire was bad, so everyone who tried to do a 1-stop strategy using the hard regretted it. When Bottas was over a pitstop behind Verstappen, Mercedes decided to switch him to mediums.
Hamilton's main mistake in the race was that he pushed too hard trying to overtake Leclerc in the twisty middle sector after his first stop, which cost them a lot of time and made him a sitting duck on the straight. The Mercedes undercut was really effective, though. With a slightly better second stop the second undercut attempt may have worked as well. Having missed these two opportunities, the risky decision to not pit under yellow was understandable, but the final stop was indeed too risky as the race may well have ended under yellow.

Nice to see Mercs still going all-out after having secured double championship. Lewis had one goal in mind, and that’s the win, a second or 3rd don’t mean much at all at this point, good to see the team supporting him 100%, making risky decisions and all.
One more race, Mercedes 1-2, then one more championship, and Mercedes would have grand-slammed the hybrid-no-ground-effect era!
