I hit 20:49 at my first HS cross country meet as a Senior. My goal is sub 20 and you’ve been such an inspiration to me starting my running journey this summer.

Update: I just ran my first sub 6 mile today. 5:55 baby

Update 2: I ran 20:28 yesterday. Jobs not finished yet

Update 3: Its been a few weeks, but I just ran 19:57 at the Wingfoot XC classic if anyone knows what that is. Thanks to all the people sharing their progress and encouragement!

Bro you are totally sand bagging this for the views. You were hitting 6:15s at the end of the marathon but can’t 3 under 6? Cap.

Im on the slower end with 25:24. I have been running for about a year and everything before that was little to no exercise. Hopefully I can get sub 24 before this year ends

Update: Currently at 22:18. I think I can go a bit faster

I ran my first 5k at 30:10 this past April. That was after not doing any real distance running for years, but still decently active. This October im trying to go sub 25!

For me that would be a really good time, so I know if you keep working your 5k you can easily get to 18 or 17

My first ever 5k was 19:32 freshman year of high school.
And in sophomore year my best is 16:38. Keep of the work and running is a sport where it doesn’t come overnight.

Could you show what stretches and warm ups/cool downs you do, but in more detail? And maybe a go-to warm up/stretch routine?

I'm about to run a 5k today, and currently my pr is 20:30 so you're only a minute ahead of me! I think that if you did more 5k's you could get down to a 17-18 minute 5k, because I mean, you've already ran a sub-5 mile, and you'd probably be able to get better

Damn man I just started running a few weeks ago I’m down to 2 miles in 14:30 and seeing you do this in a 5 k basically is awesome I still have a lot of improving

I think you took it easy. Didn’t you do a sub 5 mile? You clearly could do a sub 17min 5K, and likely took it easy.
