Your explanation of Mozart's genius is wonderful ! I'm rediscovering this sonata, of course I didn't realize how it's so organized with all the ideas being transformed everywhere, it's really mesmerizing. Thanks a lot !

I love so much when you use books and letters to confirm what you're saying. Historical and Cultural sources are essential to understand music. Thank you for starting this new journey of analysis!

I love your mention of using the knee to activate the damper. My professor in college studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and was awarded access to his house and piano. She told me about the knee pedals on his piano when studying with her.

I always skipped this sonata because I thought it would have been easy. Upon reading through it I was thinking "Where is the primary theme?" "Why are they in a different order in the Recapitulation?" Then the real challenge began of how to make sense of this strange sonata form. However, your video was extremely useful in making sense of these eccentricities. Your performance insight is excellent.

Nice video, I’m glad to have found it! One thing Im not sure about is the harpsichord question. It only has two dynamic markings (p and f) and no crescendo. So maybe it was intended for a dual manual harpsichord ?

Thanks for the vid, Greg! The arpeggio that first comes in bar 17 should begin on the beat, correct? It goes by fast and I can't tell. Thank you!

did you put colored chalks on the piano to symbolize mozart's music as something more childish? if that was the intention it turned out very cute and interesting. Thanks for the English version anyways ❤
