Tee, agree 100% with your comment that "SHE HAS TO SING ROCK". Yes, she's said she'll continue to explore other genres throughout the years, which I think is a great idea. However, though other genres may come and go from her music, I sincerely hope that there is always rock in her offerings since, I feel, rock-blues, soul-rock, etc. fits her incredible voice better than any other genre. Thank you for your reaction, though I'd prefer the longer mashup video of this plus fan video from balcony. Together, they are wonderful, though recording quality is unfortunately low. Wish they'd been allowed to do full pro video of whole show to sell as fundraiser for NY Pops, but they weren't allowed. Frustrating too that we only got one short song by Ms. Courtney Hadwin [Courtz]. But, at least all of us who couldn't attend got to experience this much.

Courtney always said that she wanted to perform at WoodStock but because of circumstances with organizers not being able to get it done and being cancelled, she just brought Wood Stock to Carnegie Hall with this performance

Hi Tee. Always love your Courtney reactions. She is incredible. This clip is the only clip of the performance released by the New York Pops, and it blew up on-line. The full performance video you reference is simply a splice together of the fan video and this video and, as you say, the sound is not nearly as good on the fan video.

This was on April 29th. The New York Pops honored Clive Davis with a huge concert at Carnegie Hall. Everyone who is anyone in music was there. Courtney was invited personally by Clive to open the show. She blew off the roof and the doors and brought the entire audience to their feet at Carnegie in a standing ovation with this rip roaring, stage dominating rendition of Janis Joplin's 'Piece of my Heart'. Janis was Clive's first signee. It was unbelievable. Courtney shared the stage with many all time greats tied to Clive like Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, John Mellencamp, Busta Rhymes, Art Garfunkel and many more. If you watch the conductor, rather than Courtney (which is hard when she just nailed the song), the conductor sneaks several long peaks at Courtney's performance instead of remaining focused on his musicians. The look on his face says it all. The same can be said for the guitarist. Let's be real. If you were on stage, 15 feet away from this magnificent performance, how could you not help but sneak a peak. It's not very often that you get to hear the voice of a lifetime. I was fortunate enough to have the privilege of hearing this live, and it was mind boggling. Take how great Courtney sounds digitally, multiply it by ten, and that gives some sense of how sensational she sounds live. She truly is a phenomenal artist, and that may be an understatement.

We are in full agreement as to how spectacular Courtney is, but we are going to have to continue to agree to disagree that Courtney should only sing Rock 😊I think Courtney is equally magnificent whether she's singing a ballad or fully rocking out. To take a voice unlike any we've ever heard before, and with more versatility than anyone else in music, and limit it to a single genre, IMO, would be a true shame, and a great loss. She is too good not to share all facets of her amazing talent.

Great reaction as always! IDK Y it took me 2 days to see it. Algorithms must be sleeping on the job. I'm sure they know I've been subscribed to your channel forever and I watch Courtney Hadwin reactions whether I'm subscribed or not.
The fan version from the balcony with a cellphone was on YouTube first but was gone in a day for copyrights. A lot of folks won't post or request the mashup full performance for fear we'll lose that too, but it's been up for months now. Good decision to just post the link though. If you only think she should sing rock then you will be disappointed with her Album. Because Courtz has said herself that she definitely doesn't want to get stuck in just a rock. The album will contain a little different from rock, pop, blues. indie simply a mix
