R: tour / all new Renault Austral E-Tech full hybrid

After months of indecision, got down to 3 suvs for our new mode of transport, Kuga, Tucson and the Austral. Yes both the Ford and Hyundai were great choices, but they’re popular vehicles especially the Tucson and would have been excellent but we wanted to be a little more exclusive and different from the rest, we chose the Austral and so far it’s been an awesome experience, high tech, comfortable and returning a pleasant 54.6 mpg over the 2300 miles we’ve covered to date. Obviously it’s still new so I’ll report our experiences as we go on ..tbc

I currently own a 1.5 DCI Renault Megane Dynamique S Nav and it's been a joy to drive. I absolutely love the infotainment screen, it's very unique and don't think I could go back. The Renault Astural is absolutely beautiful, really considering buying this

Having looked at and driven the competition, including nearly new luxury brands such as BMW X3, Mercedes and Audi, I was really surprised by how much Renault have upped their game with this car. Really great finish and materials and fantastic to drive. Liked it so much I’ve got an Iconic Esprit Alpine on order in the Satin Grey like the video. If you’re in the market, don’t dismiss it like I almost did.
