What if there were more women working in refuse collection, fishing trawlers, sewerage, building sites, oil rigs?

It makes me think of a rather puzzling event from my life.
Once, when I was waiting for a bus, I overheard a chatter between a few girls.
One of them told the others: "I'd like to study computer science, but I don't know... I heard female students are discriminated against."
I took my liberty to interrupt: "Excuse me, I'm a female cs student myself and I've never felt discriminated against."
Then, she looked at me and said: "They are nice to you because you're a girl!"
I think it's not the men or the industry itself that contributes to the inequalities...

The way to get more women into the teach work force, is to have more sandwich making jobs. They could answer the phones, make coffee. Keep the bathrooms clean.
