I was once in a worship service, on the praise team on stage, the day my sister was to have brain surgery after a stroke. It was that moment, in front of everyone, that I learned what a "sacrifice of praise" was. The entire service was on God's sovereignty, and I chose to believe God is good and sovereign over my life (and hers), regardless of the circumstances.

I'm struggling with singing. I've never enjoyed singing. I was saved several months ago but I have yet to be convicted about my lack of participation during worship and praise. I worship and praise God everyday continually, but not in song. I guess I don't externally praise God with my lips very often. I just haven't found any scripture that has given me that conviction. I'm weary of trying to "fix" these issues myself. I have found heavily depending on faith that God is working in me to change me is much more fruitful than trying to do it myself

Hi Mike! Thank you so much for this video! My husband and I do ministry for the youth at our church. We were in small group lessons last night and the topic was worship. This short but insightful video was perfect for me to share with some of the students.

We really enjoy watching and sharing your videos but I have to ask, what is your occupation besides an associate pastor? What degree do you have and what school did you study at? I think it’s important to know these things so that it gives us more confidence in the knowledge that you have in and for the Lord. It’s apparent that you love the Lord and are very disciplined in your studies but I would love to hear where you studied and what your exact occupation or degree studied is! How does one worship in spirit and in truth...? Should I worship through faith despite how angry and frustrated I am with everything and everyone. How does that look like when I feel like blaming God, and cursing my self? It's one thing to know, but it another thing to accept. I want to accept and believe... but my frustrating worship lead to tears..

Masochist book worshipers. This stuff contradicts itself big time. God is love but its not important if we feel comfortable or not, he loves us but we have to suffer and "sacrifice", he cares and all but we need to be whatever he wants us to be "to his glory", ..., is this "god" or "gore"?.
