Went this past yr. Our trip to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, about 5hr drive from Keflavik, was a highlight. Planning another trip and definitely renting a camper van. Magical place. Just going for drives anywhere is gorgeous! Love the solitude the most.

Very nice, however would add the cliff hike near arnarstapi, hiking above the back sand to hjorleifshofol, and the amazing waterfalls along fimmvorduhals…the volcano was not active when I was there so I couldn’t gage that…however I would say anything in Iceland is the best hike…
