Thanks for the review! The cup remains colder because of the vacuum seal. The bowls are double walled but not vacuum sealed because. This was from a YETI rep review on YouTube

I bought it because it’s insulated. Living in Florida, you never know when a hurricane will hit and knock out the power. Even though we have a generator, it’s a good idea to have a good cooler, ice, and an insulated dog bowl to help them stay cool.

I've seen a few of these. Doesn't it say that the double walled stainless isn't insulated on the sticker?

Definitely worth it. I bought 3 for each one of my English Bulldogs. Considering it is the only thing they eat out of, and the food they eat does not vary, why not get them something nice and sturdy that can be easy clean and germ free? I mean, if you ate the same meal off the same plate twice or three times per day, wouldn’t you hope the person feeding you would give you a nice plate or bowl to eat from?

The bowl is not insulated. So it's not going to keep it cold or hot.

What gave you the impression that a lidless bowl would do jackshit to keep things cold or hot?

I have 3 huskies and each one has a yeti Boomer 8 bowl. Trust me I’ve been through dozen of bowls. Cheap plastic ones that my huskies chew up and not good after a week. The metal bowls with the rubber piece around the bottom edge which drys up and crack then fall apart. Those bowl slide all over the place without the rubber on the bottom and it’s $9.99 to replace those metal bowls. So 2 of my huskies have had their bowls for 3yrs now and they have definitely withstood the test of time and the huskies. I have 2 more husky pups that I will be getting another 2 more Yeti monogram bowls with a total of 5 yeti bowls. Definitely worth it.

Got 3 of them. 2 inscribed with my dogs names.

Thanks for honest rewiev. I will also order them for my puppy.

Also I think iced water is beneficial for dogs with double coats. Wearing a thick hoodie all year round without being able to perspire during the hot months or after a good run of fetch or doggo friends at the park. I would imagine internally they’re hot and need to cool down

You're right about the shape/size of the cup -vs- bowl having to do with the how fast the ice cubes melt. Even though you're using the same amount of ice cubes and water for each Yeti, the cup is more "compact" and is able to keep the ice cubes close to one another and the exposed surface area to the room temperature is smaller than that of the bowl too. #NerdAlert

fondoo
I would. It looks nice. And does what it needs to do.

I got 2 for my pup....they are worth it!!!

Should of invested in an ice maker for your freezer. Good review none the less. I have contemplated getting one for my husky but at the end of the day she will drink out of anything so I cannot justify it.

OK I felt crazy for spending the money on these butttt I had a gift card to Amazon and figured why the hell not. I love Yeti and they've been known to make good products. Now I don't regret it at all and plan on buying one more for water (the 2 I have are what I use to feed them in). I love how sturdy they are and solid, all my previous bowls would look nice for a month or so and then start looking ratchet. Thanks for your review! I may try the Reddy / petco version for water, I don't know.

Thanks for the review! I got the same insulated dog bowls on Alibaba and they’re a ton cheaper.

I wouldn't buy one, but I got a yeti 4 with my barkbox subscription... so eh, free is cool.
