Asking Questions in Russian [Russian for Beginners]

Asking questions in Russian can be quite a daunting and intimidating task, especially if you try to follow the proper grammar rules of declention, gender agrement, etc. What if you are a beginner? Should you not even try? Of course not.

By knowing basic Russian interrogatives, you'll be able to express your questions, even without an extensive vocabulary or grammar knowledge. Lots of times you don’t even need to form a complete sentence to ask a question. All you need is to know the ‘question word’ and your pointer finger:)

I have actually been learning Russian for more than a year, now, so I was just watching this to learn the accent. I tried looking it up on youtube, but they were always videos about speaking English in a Russian accent

when asking someone if they are doing a certain verb do you still have to conjugate the verb? When you asked someone if they're laughing it looked like the word for laughing was in the infinitive form so I just wanted to know if it still requires conjugation in questions.

For "what" What would a Russian say in order to indicate that they are disdainful or uninterested or don't feel like being bothered. If you approach someone in english and they just say "what?" as opposed to the more polite "what is it?" that is often the implication. Since in Russian цтo? means both of those things how would a person speaking Russian indicate that attitude difference?
