Kovalchuk looked like he was having a good time especially with the loud crowd! I love it

Kovy and Chiarot both had excellent games. Everyone else was good, but they weren't, great... The turnovers! My god. Fleury had a terrible turnover at the end. Right when Copp scored, I knew Winnipeg sealed the deal. Right there. And Mete... He was terrible tonight! Most of our best players were slipping and flopping around, like fish. Unacceptable.
Good Game, Winnipeg Jets. You're such a better team than Montreal, it's not even that close...

Very good first game for Kovalchuk...this looks promising.

GG Winnipeg. Hell of a team you got. I'm truly shocked you didn't blow us out. You have a very bright future ahead...

Tough loss for the Habs. Let's move on to Detroit, boys. We gotta be *flying* tomorrow night! Just, can't get *Berned* again...

The Jets had a 2-0 breakaway when shorthanded and scored.

Good first game by Kovalchuk, but it won't be easy, at 36 yo forward when you use to be absolutely flying in open ice play and never had to forecheck. But wa alot of heart tonight and he played hard. I don't expect him to light the lamp and dominate

Sometimes I feel like Noah Juulsen at 10% health, would be better than anything Mete has done, this season. And that's saying something cause as of right now, Juulsen can't even get out of bed without puking, that's how bad his injury is, and yet I STILL think he'd play better than Mete.

Kovy was arguably our best player, tonight, along with Chiarot. If he continues to play like that, this will be one of the best low priced contract signings.

Congratulations to Canadians for bringing Illya Kovalchuk ! Such a brilliant Player ! I do remember when Ilya used to play in Atlanta Thrashers some years ago. Kovalchuk at that time used to make a tons of goals. How come L.A. Kings didn't found the wise way to use such Player ? Anyway, Canadians got Kovalchuk just for $ 700K !!! Cheap, very cheap price for such Player . If this year Canadians will not reach play-off, next season Canadians will have a Ovechkin # 2

Now Mtl has to win 28 of its remaining 39 games to have a chance to make the playoffs....which won't happen. Still another game where Mtl loses the goaltender like MasterCard used to This team has a goaltender who plays like a dying floppy fish. I hear MB will hire Rick Dipietro to team up with Price.

OK, is that 6 or 7 losses in a row now by the Habs?

Time to move Price he is not winning a Cup in Montreal.
Habs should hire Babcock but Bab's won't go to a losing team.
Maybe Bab's in Seattle next season.
Montreal should call Nashville make a trade for Price.
Habs could get a few pieces to rebuild from the Preds they are desperate.

The Canadiens are in the attitude era. Went Markov and Subban was there it was all about winning. A losing streak like this would created a Fire Tornado in MTL.
But now, in the Shea Weber we have a good attitude era, the standard is so low.

Habs will miss the playoffs for the second year in a row...why aren't the fans calling for Bergevin's head by now?

I reap for the Habs of 2010 to 2016. Subban, Gionta, Markov, Gorges guys who played with heart. Amazing a team like that went to conference finals. Dam you Bergevin, Moulson and Therrien.

Look, The Habs are unlucky. They lost top players because of injuries. Drouin, Armia, Gally, Byron are important pieces to the squad. We don’t know when they will be back. Before the Drouin injury, the habs were having a stellar season. Now, Price is playing bad and the team is falling apart. I see this as a perfect chance to get some top prospects like lafreniere. Just looked at the standings, the habs are in 24th place, 5 points ahead of the 28th position, which is the last position in the 1st pick lottery. This, in my opinion, is the right move: trying to get lafreniere and giving everything for him. The habs also have a lot of cap space left, they need to use it. I also see this season as a development for the youngsters. The habs should try to develop the promising youngsters like caulfield, suzuki, poehling, and romanov (who had an excellent IIHF tournament).
