RMN: Is Man Of Steel GOOD or BAD?

Something I've wanted to discuss for some time now. Is this NEW incarnation of Superman GOOD or BAD? Well hear what I have to say and then decide for yourself...

MoS is the best Superman movie apart from Superman II

I think with the way these big epic Superhero movies are now days. You have to kind of ride the trilogy or sequels to really get a deep undestanding of the characters. With sequels coming, we don't know what will ultimately be the depiction of superman. I think realism caught most people by surprise. The Reeve era was more majestic, godly, and light hearted. This interpretation is more cinematic and real. Seeing a Kryptonian rip apart a pilot, and the final battle distruction between Zod and Supes in a paper like city...brings first hand to the realism of the times. Its a huge adjustment for audiences whom haven't really seen a new interpretation of the charcter since 1978. Lets be patient and see where they take the character in the sequels. That will tell us what kind of Superman we really get.

Nice video dude. I really did like this film a lot but like you said, it does have it's flaws. I have never been a Superman fan in general so maybe that is why I liked this movie a lot more than any of the others but I am more than willing to see a sequel of this Superman. You know what this reminded me of, it reminded me of when the new Star Trek film came out. A lot of fans both hardcore and casual fans of that series really were either let down by it or outright hated it. Some have said that it has killed the franchise forever. And I think the same can be applied here, because fans hold these things so badly to there hearts that just seeing it in a different way than to what they know it to be just rubs them the wrong way and sometimes they just can't see past that. But hey that is human nature in general, it always how we think it should be and nothing else. It must be the way that we know it to be. But that is my opinion.

I am a fan. I love the film, and it does have flaws but you view it in the reeve and comic books section. I usually will accept any movie and not care. I loved the movie and I can see a darker superman. If you are angry with the whole Zod death thing, he killed him in 2 and nobody had a heart attack.. Watch the Angry Joe review, he is a hardcore fan.

I will just give this a thumbs up and run away since I haven't seen Man of Steel yet! LOL :)
