Today’s Topic: Checkpoints in North Carolina

Attorneys Dylan Greenwood and Harold Eustache discuss checkpoints in North Carolina. Normally stops by law enforcement require reasonable suspicion to comply with the 4th Amendment. Checkpoints have been established as an exception to that. However, law enforcement and the State have to comply with very specific regulations to have a valid checkpoint. The attorneys at Greenwood Law tackle these issues and more!

Great expression of knowledge on this matter. Thank you for the clarity of the many scenarios on these checkpoints. Our constitutional rights are the only thing ive learned that really protected those that learn about them.

I have not been through a DUI check point in years. From the stats that I have seen they do not catch many DUI suspects. Plus I think they are illegal. A driver is being stopped without probable suspicion that they have committed a crime or about to comit a crime. Check points are unconstitutional.
