Confident Grief Coach Show: The 'other' Mother's Day - International Bereaved Mother's Day

In this episode, Pat and Cami talk about a Mother's Day often not talked about or known to many - the International Bereaved Mother's Day.

Last Sunday, May 5, 2024 was the International Bereaved Mother's Day observance day - a day set aside to acknowledge those mothers who are often overlooked within the traditional Mother's Days celebrated in several countries across the globe.

International Bereaved Mother's Day is for those mothers who may or may not have other children. They are the mothers who may have never been able to conceive, whose babies were unable to survive in utero, those that were born without a breath, or those mothers who experienced infant loss.

In the U.S, we are celebrating the national Mother's Day observance on Sunday, May 12. Mother's Day can be rich with love and honoring but also can be enveloped in sadness and grieving when our mother is no longer with us.
