I love you Mark, but this is the most worthless review yet. I have one of these for my SNES, which did not have the original power supply, and my two cents for anyone reading is this: DO NOT BUY THIS. Why? Well, the Super Nintendo takes 10 volts, but this adapter only supplies 9. Now, that doesn't stop it from working, but it has a HUGE consequence. The Video and Audio take an enormous nosedive in quality. In particular, every game had white streaks running through the screen, which got especially annoying in games with lots of contrast, like Secret of Mana or Super Mario RPG. Also, the audio seems to be slightly worse. Rather than having the buttery-smooth low end Audio the SNES is famous for, it seemed to be a little high as well is have a bit of noise in it. This cable's a great idea, but the insufficient voltage means it really degrades game quality. 2/10

I had a similar plug that came with my NES. Dang thing broke in two weeks.

Only 350mA from that power supply? Hope you don't have an early model 1 with Virtua Racing, that'll suck close to a whole amp!

Simply green-screen it and add fiery explosions while the plug is flying toward the viewer. Yeah, like John McClane!

The genesis model 1 requires more power, so if you have an adapter that doesn't ouput the same as the original adapter, you will get a hum noise in your audio.

It´s so cool to see "The Intergalactic Space Arcade" coming together again! Really hope that when it's finished we will get the epic CGR intro back...because, you know,  mark is "on a never ending mission to

I guess it's fine if it's not overpriced, but you can buy multi power adapters at most hardware stores with multiple tips for various things as well as a switch to modify the power output.

Can anyone answer a question for me? I have an SNES. had it since the 90s. I have seen Super famicons for cheap with no hardware (adapter, cables, controllers) would my SNES HARDWARE connect to the Super Famicon?

Does this also work on the Super Famicom?

You may see no problem with a bunch of power supplies laying around, but, how would you feel about having a bunch of Air Supply lying around?

Those things are cheap and they suck. If you pay close attention, I've noticed video quality degradation with the cheap AC adapter. I switched to an original power adapter and it got rid of the video noise those things create.

yes it works. it's convenient but it sucks in my opinion. Awesome video.

I actually have this thing just because it's the cheapest SNES AC adapter that works. Yes, it does work with the NES.

Bought one of these, though a different brand, as a replacement for my NES a few years back. It worked, and as far as I know would still, in theory, but I refuse to use it since the genesis power connector started randomly rusting at one point, and is now a mess of oxidation that terrifies me for the construction of the rest of the thing. And it, too, was light as hell.
