That’s cap that it’s 10 times lighter lol. The k6 is a really light helmet already and it’s carbon fibre as well. A lot of KYT influencers lately🤔

K6 is lighter than KYT, is also is carbon aramid helmet, literally one of the lightest helmet. Atleast read the specs you lout

At the price point the AGV clears this so easily and there are a lot of helmets that are so much better than the KYT. I had a kyt non-carbon and the fit and finish was horrible. Contacted customer service they sent me another one with the same exact issues (vents not snapping into place, finish defects, chin strap is crazy stuff and uncomfortable, visor didn’t seal properly but I was able to fix that on my own).

I’d pass on them for now tbh but I’ve had over 30 helmets in my motorcycling career.

If u have a tight budget and want a FIM certified track helmet then kyt is cheaper ( kx1 ) but if you can spend more then agv pista definitely has more quality.. the fit and finish is just another level in pista gp rr as compared to kx1…

If not going for top of the line agv then kyt is a better deal anyday… anyways both are designed by the same designers so can vouch for aerodynamics and weight distribution on both to be pretty awesome

nz race should compared with agv pista because i think the k6 is not track approved. but yes kyt more lighter but i thing all kyt fullface lineup still got wind noice issue, from tt course and nz race and the ear pad is pressing my ear, make it hurt

the rating DOT doesnt matter, as long as its ECE 22.06 its good, as the ECE 22.06 is a more envolved rating, however you should still do research on the helmets, agv helmets for example tend to go through AGVs' saftey tests, which are way better than ECEs', AGV helmets tend to be better suited to defending against concussions and serious damage at high speeds, whereas most ECE regulated helmets are just rated for moderate speed and rotation. Me personally after two of my fast crashes, i will never be using anything other than Scorpion EXO and AGV helmets. My scorpion protected me from a 65 mph crash with no cuncussion and my agv protected me at 90 mph with no cuncussion, i will never use anything else.

Ok to answer the question, no, more expensive does not mean more better, from a purely protective standpoint, not including bias, looks, or weight, the AGV has a more rigorous safety testing standard, since in the current market AGV has the most in depth, an precautious standard for their helmets which surpasses standard safety ratings like ECE and DOT.

ECE is the only standard that should be trusted for the base model standards, Snell and DOT are for car driver and a dinosaur respectively
And all helmets that are sold in the EU have to be ECE.
Therefore just listing the cert doesn’t say how safe it is.
