The second option, with the command prompt, did the trick. Thank you, Device Manager!

Thank you for this great tutorial. The first option didn't work for me but using the command prompts did. For those wondering, you need to have the CD or a flash drive in hand. Now my larger cloned hard drive is working again. I truly didn't want to go through the hell that is installing and updating windows 10, this fixed the error I was getting with the cloned drive. Cheers.

I'm getting this error only periodically when restarting after cloning to an SSD. when I run "rebuildbcd", it says it found 0 windows installations. When I try to run "fixboot", I get "access is denied"...

PLEASE HIGHLIGHT THIS COMMENT.

I managed to do this without any of what the video had to do to solve this problem (no offense).i did everything and it didn't work out
The problem was the boot option through my bios sittings and for some reason it changed that on its own. i had to update my bios and at first i didnt manage to do this because i was afraid to do so . and you dont mess with it when the bios is being uploaded . BEFORE I UPDATE the bios i had to restart cause it couldn't recognise my usb .And then started showing this issue as i said earlier BEFORE i update the bios. Not that i after updated the bios it had disappeared.
*Problem :the problem was to of course set the hard drive that had my operating system in it as a first boot option. And my problem was resolved.

One more that fixed my ACER Q500A after switching HDD and restoring image:
Boot from win 10 disk. Go into Advanced Troubleshooting command prompt. Type diskpart.
DISKPART select disk 1
DISKPART list partition
***find the partition called System. it was 1 in my case
DISKPART select partition 1
DISKPART active
DISKPART ASSIGN LETTER=Z
DISKPART exit
BCDBoot c:\Windows /s z: /f UEFI

Just as background... days of trying different things, finally got the laptop to boot again and everything worked as if nothing happened... as of the day I created the image.

At this point, when I see that screen with the error message, I just press enter, and it starts right up (so far).

I cant even get to the screen "press any key to boot from..." with my win 10. And its a laptop that came with windows 8. The windows is on a separate partition on the HDD and I have no installation disks. So... Now what?

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to record that video. But, none of your suggestions fixed my problem. Instead, now Windows does not start anymore. Before running through your fixing method, my problem was that Windows started and I got a bluescreen after a minute or so. Now, after going through all steps you proposed Windows doesn't even start. Additionally, I had a bootloader installed that let me choose between Linux or Windows to start. Now, Windows tries to start automatically but fails every time and restarts by itself. I end up with a bluescreen and the 0xc0000225 error. Pressing F8 for safety mode also does not work. So, after trying your steps my Windows crashed completely and I lost all my files. For everyone who has the same 0xc0000225 problem. Before you try to fix it, better go in safety mode and safe all your sensible data. It might get lost during the repair.

It could also be that your system automatically wants to boot from a wrong disk, if you have any leftover windows files select the right op system from the boot menu in bios, read the black and white text when the error code is given, you could be offered a choice to boot from another disk
