~Animatics are usually sketchy and bare bones. They're used to get an exact movement from a character across to the animator. I got a bit carried away so it's not too sketchy- but I dont think it looks good enough to actually call it a pmv; anyway UM-

I feel so sad for Kel in the ending, he just managed to bring everyone back together and now he’s losing them all again. He didn’t even get to process his own thoughts about the confession and just had to stop Aubrey from killing them while his brother leaves again. He just wants to play basketball the poor baby.

This is the most realistic head canon for me but it stills hurst to see it, I just want to see them happy ;-;, like geez imagine finally reconciling with your friend group in the first time in 4 years just to learn that two of them did such a thing..

I don't know why but seeing Kel not hugging the cactus is sad. I know that it's because of the thorns but I think it also represents him not accepting himself as the way Basil describes him

I love the ending where hero and Aubrey don’t forgive sunny and lash out, but then I think Aubrey would learn to accept sunny through the years while hero would have more trouble doing that

Aubrey, Hero, and Kel taking Sunny admitting to the truth about Mari's death badly is the realistic ending. Like, in real life if you told your friends that you killed someone they all carried about and kept it a secret from them for 3 years, they'd be pissed and upset. But, the game preaches that "You must trust in your friends that they'll forgive you, because they love you." I think that the gang would be upset at first, but, they'd come to realize that Basil and Sunny atoned enough and would forgive them. They know that Sunny and Basil are good people and know they loved Mari too, so they'd accept it as an accident and move on with their lives, together. At least, that's what I think, the more realistic ending is what this animation represents, everyone storming off with mixed feelings of anger and sadness, a less happy ending. Maybe the way I think it would've gone down is a lot more happy and hopeful, but, OMOCAT didn't make Omori to just put smiles on our faces, it was also made to make us cry, and I think an ending where the gang just... falls apart and never sees or talks to each other again is very depressing.

Not only is the animatic itself really good but you picked such a good and fitting song for it. The part where you showed the character's reaction to Sunny telling the truth and the lyrics giving it more impact is *chef's kiss*

Beautiful animatic - just some ramble-y thoughts below.

The end reactions feel about as canon as it gets; although I reckon Aubury's anger will only stick with Basil after she's had time to cool off.

She's knows what it's like to struggle domestically, coming from a not great home - I don't think she'd stay angry at Sunny, given that there's going to be natural space, and there seems to be a natural lenience towards him anyway. Basil, however..

It's was Basil's idea. He's the one who convinced Sunny, he's the one who hung Mari, and he's the one she's been projecting onto already. I don't know if he'll be off the hook any time soon.

And Hero's involvement with that group is probably done, minus Kel. He's already in college and probably has plenty of friends anyway. I think this would probably be the final straw for him.

Wow, you worked so hard on it. Art style is so beautiful and how Omori hugs Basil, or how Sunny hugs Omori... I don't think that I have to say anything about everyone's reaction after Sunny reveals the truth. Especially I liked how Hero just left the room.
