For anyone wondering how add a delete function, simply do a delete where where category_ID = @category_ID for the parent and all of it's descendants. You need to loop through all of the children and delete the children as well. The best way is a recursive call.

Nice ..but if we want tree format record fetch in select box ..like in first select box parent data and second selection box child data and so on .... when we click a parent then second select box show childs of this parent...and then we click on child data then show subchild in 3rd select box
